Barry joins synod staff January 15, 2019.
Barry has been ordained for 35 years and for the last 21 years (2018) was executive officer for the diocese of Calgary. He is excited to join the synod staff and to serve the people of the islands and inlets.
The role of executive officer is endlessly stimulating because of the constant interplay between institutional values and local communal aspirations. Every day, the work provides opportunities to learn anew who we are and what we are called to do as the people of God (identity and purpose).
