 e Community of Learning is a new educational approach to lay ministry lead
 ership formation\, offered in several modules. Led by experts within the d
 iocesan family\, the program is designed to equip lay leaders to be minist
 ers of reconciliation within and beyond the church.\nModule 1 – Conflict
 : Language and Resolution \nYou will learn:\n\nPeaceful change through dia
 logue\nNon-violent language and communication\nConflict as an opportunity 
 for spiritual growth\nTechniques for identifying and dealing with difficul
 t issues\n\nYou will learn and practice how to identify conflict from the 
 language used\, how to bring issues to the surface and clarify what is rea
 lly going on. You will go from the session with tools and techniques to co
 nfront and resolve issues that\, if left unaddressed\, cause stress and an
 xiety to you and others and hamper growth in your church and your life.\n*

 Jull is associate professor and program head for the MA in Conflict Analy
 sis and Management program at Royal Roads University.  \nMs Emily Waterma
 n\, MA in Dispute Resolution\, is a dispute resolution adviser\, facilit
 ator and trainer specializing in work with high conflict groups in cross-c
 ultural environments.  \nMr Wayne Stewart has served as the senior execu
 tive of three charities and has taught and coached on the lessons of Susan
  Scott's Fierce Conversations.  \nThe Rev. Selinde Krayenhoff is a high
 ly regarded teacher of and consultant in non-violent communication.  \nMs
  Catherine Watson has extensive consulting experience in multi-party disp
 utes\, environmental impact assessment and disputes\, restorative justice\
